Personally I feel that a 4-0 beating was more than a little harsh wasn't it!!!
But Aston Villa had seven attempts on goal and hit the target which each of them, scoring four, not a bad percentage is it!
Hughes Da Man
That headline is understatement of the century!!!! lol

I certainly feel you guys can feel hard done by in terms of the scoreline. Penalty was the right decision I think, but not the sending off. After that you were chasing and we always look capable of scoring on the break.

i was hoping this one could end in a draw as it would have suited pompey nicely... i listened to some of the phone ins last night, most blackburn fans were saying you dominated the game - villa were saying it was complete rubbish and they did? whats the true score on this then fellas...
pompeyrug
It was pretty even pompeyrug as the stats above show. the last 2 goals Villa scored were courtesy of us piling forward. Villa deserved to win but the scoreline was far too flattering.
MikeyGamst
An even game indeed, MG. 4-0 was flattering. However, I have the report that VF Villa have done, and it I think I was watching a different game. However, which ever glasses you wear, be it blue and white or claret and blue (i apologise for swearing on a family site! :-) ), it was a good game of football. A team going forward trying to get something from a game, and a very good counter attacking team.

I think you have to say that for periods of the game both teams had domination. The 1st 5 minutes we had 70% possession, and then the next 20 you had loads of chances. After that it was more even. Second half was a joke because of the sending off - gave us more space to pass the ball around without really penetrating loads and loads. Then you were chasing the game and we just broke a few times, scoring on 2. It's what we are good at and it actually helped us. Hope this comes across as a balanced view of what I saw?!
CLVilla
certainly does CLVilla matey... fair assesment that.

Even Harewood scored... dislike that guy
FreidelNo.1
Yeah he is a bit poor but he scored so he'll be pleased.

not often the stats show the same on target as shots taken!
