Greatest Ever Rovers Squad: Forwards

The most recent Poll continued this search for the "Greatest Ever Rovers Squad - Forwards." The names had been suggested and the votes cast. With the option of these six legendary Rovers forwards…

Tommy Briggs
Simon Garner
Mike Newell
David Speedie
Alan Shearer
Chris Sutton

You have voted Tommy Briggs (11%), Simon Garner (16%), Alan Shearer (55%) & Chris Sutton (9%) into the Greatest Ever Squad.

Unfortunately Mike Newell (6%) & David Speedie (3%) miss out this time!

Remember the squad can be changed down the line at your request. Simply suggest the player you feel should come out (and why?) along with the man you feel should come in (and again why?) and it will be put to the vote! We will look into this more when the squad has been selected.

Just to recap this squad will comprise of the following:

3 Goalkeepers

2 Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
4 Centre-backs
2 Right-backs (or Wing-backs)

2 Left-midfielders (or Wingers)
4 Central Midfielders
2 Right-midfielders (or Wingers)

4 Forwards

The Squad has been selected.

Next we will go over the positional selections and once we have these positional placing selected to a level the majority agree on (not all will, but the majority will speak and be heard… hopefully!) we will start selecting the Greatest XI!

As the search for March's Player of the Month begins the current poll is asking, "Defender of the Month for March?."

PLEASE NOTE: The positional votes are going to be quick fire 24-hour ones so get your votes in quick!

Congratulations to forwards Tommy Briggs, Simon Garner, Alan Shearer & Chris Sutton for their induction into our Greatest Ever Squad. These players were voted in by you the Vital Blackburn members so what do you think?
