If Only Rovers and Benni Had…

With 56% of the vote Alan Shearer is the man that most people would have liked to have seen Benni McCarthy partnered with if possible.

The young emerging talent that is Matt Derbyshire came in next with 16% ahead of the man Benni has ultimately more than replaced Craig Bellamy with 15%. Somewhat surprisingly Simon "the legend" Garner gained only 6% with the "other" option gaining 5%. Jason Roberts was the rank outsider with only 2%.

So in summary
Craig Bellamy - 15%
Matt Derbyshire - 16%
Simon Garner - 6%
Jason Roberts - 2%
Alan Shearer - 56%
Other - 5%

The current poll, something a little different, suggested by govtpros is asking, We've spent a total of 65 seasons in the top divisions, what is our most popular end position?

So big Al is unsurpringly the man most feel would best compliment Benni McGoalmachine, somewhat surprisingly though my boy Derbs came in 2nd! I SWEAR I didn't vote him. Surprised that Simon Garner didn't pull in more than 6% though!!!

Me and all, mind you I cant remember who I voted for now :)

There should have been no doubt... Big Al was good at winning the ball and scoring - Benni's weakness is that he doesn;t chase everything down that's why I still think that either Matty or J Roberts are better partners for him than Nonda.

Matty is doing a good job with McGoalmachine, JR is still for me over the short term still the man just to partner him though. If only Big Al were around now :)

By the way guys the polls are running for THREE days now and not the old standard of just 48-hours, this is with the exception of the final poll for the Greatest Ever Squad (for the forwards when it happens) have to keep all these at the then standard 48-hours to make it fair I think.
