Greatest Ever Rovers Squad: Central Midfield

Greatest Ever Rovers Squad: Central Midfield
The most recent Poll continued this search for the "Greatest Ever Rovers Squad - Central Midfielders." The names had been suggested and the votes cast. With the option of these six legendary Rovers central midfielders...

Ronnie Clayton
Gordon Cowans
Howard Kendall
Eddie Latheron
Tim Sherwood
Tugay

You have voted Ronnie Clayton (18%), Howard Kendall (14%), Eddie Latheron (14%) & Tugay (41%) into the Greatest Ever Squad.

Unfortunately Gordon Cowans (2%) & Tim Sherwood (11%) miss out this time!

Remember the squad can be changed down the line at your request. Simply suggest the player you feel should come out (and why?) along with the man you feel should come in (and again why?) and it will be put to the vote! We will look into this more when the squad has been selected.

Just to recap this squad will comprise of the following:

3 Goalkeepers

2 Left-backs (or Wing-backs)
4 Centre-backs
2 Right-backs (or Wing-backs)

2 Left-midfielders (or Wingers)
4 Central Midfielders
2 Right-midfielders (or Wingers)

4 Forwards

Next up for selection will be Right-Midfielders (of wingers) so look out for these soon!

With two massive Cup matches coming up this week the current poll is asking, "how important is this week in Rovers' season?"

Congratulations to central midfielders Ronnie Clayton, Howard Kendall, Eddie Latheron & Tugay for their induction into our Greatest Ever Squad. These players were voted in by you the Vital Blackburn members so what do you think?

I know not all the names in the poll were wanted but I don't think there can be too many complaints as to who has got in? Maybe the fact that Tugay finished so far ahead will not please everyone though. As much as I rate Tugay (and he WILL get my vote for a place in the Greatest XI when it comes round) gaining almost half the vote maybe was a little too much?!?!

That poll IMO wasnt up for long enough. How many votes in total were there HDM?

I can't tell you that as I don't know how many people voted, all I get to know are the amounts. Sorry you feel that but I have to keep things consistent BomBom, so like EVERY other poll it was on for 48 hours which should have given the majority of people that wanted to vote time to do so. I can't be changing the goal posts as I go along, have to keep it as fair as I can. Just like the selection itself names may not be liked but if people aren't going to suggest otherwise I have to run with them. When the squad is selected before a Greatest XI selected each position will be reviewed; for changes to be made people will have to say so. It will need several people to agree with a change also not just one.
