Gamst Player of the Month (Jan)

Gamst Player of the Month (Jan)
The Player of the Month Award goes to someone new for the second month running. Brad Friedel took the crown last season and now Morten Gamst Pedersen after a string of fine performances and some stunning goals claims the Player of the Month for January with 58% of the vote.

Matt Derbyshire following a goal filled month of his own finished runner up with 21% closely followed by David Bentley in third with 17%.

The fact that Zurab Khizinashvilli (2%), Brad Friedel (1%) and Benni McCarthy (1%) finished with so little of the vote despite having very good months of their own proved just how well the three ahead of them performed.

So in summary
David Bentley - 17%
Matt Derbyshire - 21%
Brad Friedel - 1%
Zurab Khizinashvilli - 2%
Benni McCarthy - 1%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 58%

So the search for January's Player of the Month has ended with Gamst Pedersen taking the crown, the current poll is asking, "what was Januarys top Goal?"

You decide so cast your vote (don't forget you can view the goals before you vote!) and why not have your say on the latest polls findings...

Im going to think about this one before voting becasue although the finish in the Luton game was technically the better strike, the importance of the winner vs Sheff U meant more, especially on the back of 2 league losses.. Hmm, how long are you keeping the poll open mate?

D'oh!!! That strike will possibly be the winner this month? The Luton goal was something else wasn't it, great tecnhique, style and execution. I've not just added Derbs because he's my favourite, did think it was a good goal.

Come HDM, you're bias when it comes to Derbys!!!1 Only kidding bud. I also think it is a top strikers finish and for that reason merits a place.
