Savage the Biggest Miss of All

Savage the Biggest Miss of All
With a massive 78% Savage was a clear and without question obvious winner. As hard as the others will be to replace they have, and will be Sav is something else and will take something special to fill in for during his enforced absence, he'll not be replaced though!

With 4% Lucas Neill is the man that will be missed the least. Maybe this has something to do with the team he left Rovers for but nevertheless the signing of Stephen Warnock offered a very good replacement with early signs indicating he'll be top class for Rovers.

So in summary
Lucas Neill - 4%
Andre Ooijer - 9%
Steven Reid - 9%
Robbie Savage - 78%

The names have been mentioned and narrowed down to six so as we continue to build the Greatest Ever Rovers Squad the current poll is asking, Greatest Ever Rovers Squad - Left Midfield. Don't forget ONLY two make it in so make your vote count.

How important Sav is to Rovers is indicated in this poll by how far ahead of other influential players he is! This tells you something.

I hear Mark Hughes has lined up Lee Hendrie from Villa as a replacement, should fill Savages role well as lately he has been a bit of a tool.

You can keep Lee Hendrie, I'd personally rather not buy anyone than him! Sav is only regarded as a "tool" because people deep down know how good he is at what he does. Stick him in the Villa side and you'd have a different view of him I assure you, things could look a little healthier with your league positon too :) lol, only kidding (the claws come out!!!)

Savage is an important player for Rovers as was shown, other teams would kill to have a player with his commitment and its only when he's in your team and you watch him a while that you begin to understand wot exactly he brings to your club!! He does set himself up for some abuse but i'd not be without him in the Rovers squad now

Certainly Clint, I have to admit before he arrived I wasn't his biggest fan, but as you say when he plays for you you see what he brings to the table and feats upon this! Take away Savage and you take away the heartbeat, he'll be missed BIG time. We didn't miss him too much against Luton but with respect to them (as they are a good side!) we'll face tougher challenges but if Bents can pull of similar, if not better performances (if he stays in field of course?) we'll not be too bad.
