Benni McCarthy Top Rovers Forward

Benni McCarthy Top Rovers Forward
Normal order was resorted this month as with 68% Benni McCarthy regained his grip on the Forward of the Month Title that he had lost for the one, and only time so far during his Rovers career in November.

With 15% and also advancing to the overall poll to determine the Player of the Month for December Shabani Nonda narrowly beats Matt Derbyshire into third who gained 13%. Last months forward poll winner Paul Gallagher (although I suspect that this was a swipe at how little our forwards actually did during that month!) ends this poll with 3%.

So in summary
Matt Derbyshire - 13%
Paul Gallagher - 3%
Benni McCarthy - 68%
Shabani Nonda - 15%

As the search for Decembers Player of the Month concludes with the positional polls now out of the way the current poll is asking, "Player of the Month for December?"

Who will win out of Brad Friedel, Benni McCarthy, Shabani Nonda, Andre Ooijer, Robbie Savage and Tugay? You decide…

PLEASE NOTE: Unlike the positional polls this will not be quick fire 24-hour one, it will revert back to its usual 48-hour poll or thereabouts so you are not so pressured to get your vote in quite as quick!

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings…

Benni was always going to win this poll, he probably always will! Nonda and Derbyshire both had very good months but I'm glad for Nonda that he just edged it as he did deserve it.. Matty's time will come.

I did say b4 I thought Nonda should have won this, everyone in the site knows about Benni and his qualites but Nonda did step up in December and showed that he could become a good player for the club, he has a lot of work still left to do but there are signs that maybe, just maybe he mite?!?!?!?

In Hughes We Trust, if he still wants to play Nonda then fine, he's the boss... I still remain sceptical though Clint, I really do hope he comes good... but I wouldn't be concerned if he was replaced... Shame we haven't seen more of Jason Roberts.

You never want to see anyone fail at your club do you, for quite a while it looked like Nonda might. He's shown something more in recent weeks but still has to convince to stay long term. Sparky doesn't get a lot wrong does he, so we'll trust his judgement as usual as you rightly say EER. Nonda will have around a month (max) before Roberts is back, if Sparky isn't 100% by then Roberts will be back in. A fully fit Roberts is worth a place in the team any day of the week, we'll see A LOT more from him when he's back.

Have to agree that Nonda has looked good! He looks sharper in every game he plays.

Sometimes it takes others longer to adjust to the English game that others; maybe Nonda is one of these? Good to hear from you im_a_blackburn_rover, it's been a while.
