Friedel has been as consistent this season as ever for Rovers and the fact that this is the first time he has won the vote for defender/goalkeeper of the Month is a surprise. With the majority of the vote, 60% in fact he comfortably wins and advances to the poll to determine the Player of the Month for December. Joining Friedel in the overall vote will be Andre Ooijer who came second with 20%.

Despite missing a lot of the month with injury Brett Emerton finished third with 12%. Lucas Neill gained 8% with Stephane Henchoz and Andy failed to register, each ending with 0%.

So in summary
Brad Friedel - 60%
Brett Emerton - 12%
Stephane Henchoz - 0%
Lucas Neill - 8%
Andre Ooijer - 20%
Andy Todd - 0%


As the search for Decembers Player of the Month continues the current poll is asking, "Midfielder of the Month for December?."

I guess that fact that Brad hasn't won the poll for defender/keeper of the month until know shows just how reliable and consistent Bradders is; so much that we take him for granted. Even by his standards though he had an exceptional month making crucial save after save. Toddy gaining 0% surprised me a little though as I think he's done pretty well since coming back in.
