I'd like to take this opportunity to Thank BOMBOM for all his work in making the Vital Podcast a reality, He has spent the last few weeks staying up til 5am in the morning, doing all the groundwork, arranging guest, subjects, and of course doing all the recording and editing. Sterling work and the amount work he has put into this should not be underestimated. It sounds fantastic and i'm thrilled to be involved

Yeah good work lads some really interesting opinions and take on things, Glen opinionated as ever, good to hear Sas and Mikey and Joe and Tombo as well as Bom as the host who I know has put a lot of work in to making this and 1%ers a very entertaining listen on my commute so well done all the guys I am sure every VBer will be listening, downloading and will have their own comments on topics discussed in this podcast. Was also good to hear that you all don't just agree on one thing and have your own opinions and difference amogst yourselves usally on the other they all go in the same direction... but the eternal question is, will boss man Mikey jump back on the fence?? GOOD WORK LADS!!!

Brilliant effort Bom this sounds AMAZING - you have run yourself into the ground for this and you deserve all the praise that will come your way. I personally thought I rambled a bit too much but I only did it so the others would sound better I promise ;) Well done everybody - let's hope others agree!

Listened to it at work, well done guys!

I wouldn't want you bitter and twisted group representing me in any discussions with the owners. Neil
clitheroerover
LOL Bitter and twisted? Are you mad? What is your view then? Kean is doing a good job?
rover23
No, Kean needs sacking asap but to suggest bringing back Tony Parkes is beyond belief!!
clitheroerover
1) That was suggested by 1 person, 2) how on earth is that bitter or twisted? Bit of a harsh statement to make if you ask me.
rover23
Appreciate your input clitheroe but being a tad harsh aren't we?! ;)

My comment particularly related to the way in which the petty jealousies were aired surrounding the Fans' Forum visit to India. In fact I think the Chair also made some reference as to the way things would 'come over' on the podcast. I find it hard to believe that dedicated Rovers fans are now saying (as in the podcast) that they didn't know anything about the Forum until a few months ago when the minutes of meetings have always been on the website. To suggest that it wasn't fair of Venky's to give a couple of personal invites also baffles me. The podcast came across to me, as someone not involved in the running of any of the supporters websites or the Fans' Forum, as being a whinging session because the participants hadn't been given the chance to travel to India. The Forum is the fans voice that is officially recognised by the Club and therefore it seems logical for it to be the initial point of contact in a situation such as this.

I'm sorry, but as I stated, if the visit had been announced as a reward for the fans forum then great. I have applied to get on the Forum BEFORE this trip was announced. I think the FF do a great job, but simply stated that the way Venkys portrayed it was poor. Also as you don't know, we asked a member of the pune 9 to come on another podcast to talk about the trip, we didn't even get a reply from them, then one of the members contact all the others, and every single one declined or didn't reply. So how are we meant to get our views heard or changed? Also, I am not jealous about going on this trip, as I wouldn't have gone anyway!!! The forum actually IS NOT the fans voice. It is a set of fans who decide on non-footballing matters actually.
rover23
Also, the club didn't even agree that the fans forum should have been taken, and they were selected by one or 2 people.

Anyone struggling to download it on Itunes?
davidoff986
Great listen fella's, some good points discussed there and very well put together it has to be said so well done... Hope there's more to come soon.
Rye_of_the_Rovers
We'll be making this a regular thing for sure Rye, you should put your name down to get involved - future editions will all involve dedicated VBers :)
Mikey Delap
All feed back is important, keep it coming lads! And do make sure you drop a name in for an invite to future podcasts. If I get enough names, I can have a purely Australasian podcast if it helps with the time difference
Sasman!
Love the music. Hahahaha! Excellent to be a part of. Sorry haven't messaged back earlier. Internet signal pantsed up!

clitheroerover, my comment about Tony Parkes was a answer to bringing someone in who had some history with the club and would be passionate in the case of others being put off by the owners. Somebody who could stand in until the end of the season when a new longterm manager could be appointed.
