Reflection and Preview - Arsenal to Newcastle!

Last week saw Rovers take on a very poor Arsenal side. We needed a win so badly, and we finally got it. Lady luck shined on us and we got 2 own goals our way, and an offside goal that stood.

Saying that, 3 points is 3 points, and I will take being lucky every week if it keeps us winning. In the words of Steve Kean 'there were positives from the game'. Yakubu looks like the striker we have been missing, Scott Dann looks immense, and 3 points should give us massive confidence going into this weekends game.

St James' Park has always been a happy hunting ground for Rovers.

We have won 6 of the last 7 games up there.

Only Manchester United (9) have won away at St James Park more often than Blackburn (6) in the Premier League era.

The signs look good. Another interesting stat is that Newcastle have won only 56% of headers in their own box, the lowest proportion of any team in the top flight. Surely this is some great news for us, with Samba, Dann, N'Zonzi, Petrovic and the Yak all in and around the box for corners!

Now time to make a team using a maximum of 7 players from each side!
