Reflection and Preview - Everton to Fulham!

Last weeks game was one of disbelief for every Rovers fan. Our lack of luck during that game was unbelievable.

Post, bar, 2 penalty misses and several good saves by Everton goalkeeper Tom Howard meant that we came away with nothing from the game.

Now despite the fact we are unlucky, for me their were some underlying factors during the game which contributed to the defeat.

1) Why don't we have a designated Penalty taker, and if indeed it is David Dunn, then why don't we have a second choice?

It was like the players didn't want to take on the responsibility, and were scared to miss. For me, David Goodwillie has to step up to the mark and claim to take the Penalties. He is a striker, he knows where the net is, it is a great chance to get off the mark in the Premier League, yet he didn't bother trying. The same goes for players like Brett Emerton, who takes the spot kicks for Australia.

2) The team selection let us down. It had none of our new players in, so it was like a weaker version of the team that only just kept us up last season. We looked a much better side once Petrovic and Formica came on. That goes down to Kean IMO and I hope he gets it right today.

On to Fulham away. Its make or break for Steve Kean. A win would perhaps give us a bit of breathing space but defeat must surely mean the end for Steve Kean.

After losing our first 3 matches, Rovers have made their worst start to a campaign in 64 years. If we lose today, it will become our worst start ever.

Recent records suggest there will be goals at Craven Cottage today; the last goalless meeting between Fulham and Blackburn was in 1983.

Liverpool are the only team to win at Craven Cottage in 2011.

Now it's time to make a starting 11 using a maximum of 7 players from each team.

Dann Samba Hangeland Givet

Hoilett Dempsey N'Zonzi Duff

Ruiz Goodwillie

Prediction for the game:

Unfortunately I can't see Rovers getting anything from this game. My head says 2-0 Fulham, my heart says 1-0 Rovers.

Why was Rochina replaced? was he injured? his record is 2 goals a match, we stood a better chance of winning with him on the field .

He wanted to come off but i woudn't think it was serious

Wrong decision to replace Rochina. Replacement Jason Lowe wasn't up to the mark. Right footed Hoilett played on the left. Goodwille reminds me of Egil Ostenstad. Big and strong, but did not use his physical advantage. I can't see how this lad can produce the goals this season.
