Reflection and Preview - Wolves to Villa!

Reflection and Preview is back!

Last season I toyed with the idea and ran the articles for a short time, and they seemed to go down ok so this season they will be a regular theme for all Premier League games!

Reflection - Wolves.

In theory this was a game which most fans would mark us down for 3 points, and I was one of them. No disrespect to Wolves but this was a game we should have been winning. However with the circumstances as they were, having N'Zonzi at CB it was always going to be an up hill struggle and we can't really judge the season on that performance.

The question will always remain though - Why did we not have another centre back in before the start of the season?

Going forward we looked alright. Formica was very promising and hopefully a sign of good things to come. If we can sort out the size of our squad, we will be alright this season.

Preview - Aston Villa

Aston Villa. Again. I am sick of this lot! We seem to play them at least 4 times a season and to make things worse, we chose to play them in pre-season as well this year!

It will be a hard game as always, there is no doubt about that, but with Villa looking worse off than last season, it could be a game we have a chance of snatching something from. Ashley Young and Stuart Downing will be big losses for Villa this season, even though they did bring in N'Zogbia. Darren Bent will always provide a threat and we have to hope our defenders are fit again after last week. N'Zonzi vs Bent would not end well.

My prediction: Aston Villa 1-1 Blackburn Rovers. Formica & Bent to score.

Also this time around I am going to steal a little something from Mikey. Each week I will compose a team made up of players from each of the teams, with a maximum of 7 players from each club!

Nice read Joe! Spot on about Wolves. Onwards and upwards tomorrow ! Think we can sneak a win! Although a draw would be okay...within reason!

I think this game will be a very cagey 1, both teams know each other so well. it could go either way but maybe petrovic get a debut goal and goodwillie, my prediction 2 1
