Getting to Know....Scotty4aus.
Good Ol Scott. Yours truly met this chap on the Tour Down Under Trip taken by our beloved Rovers last season...What I didn't know is that almost 1 year on, a drunken Scott would leave 12 missed calls and a drunken voice mail at 2am on my phone, on a Sunday morning!!!!

Sas has forgiven his friend Scott, who had one too many at a Charity event, where the good man donated some of his hard earned to charity, and put him in the studio for the latest, Getting to Know!

1) Who Is Scott, what does he do, and why Blackburn

My name is Scott Edward Lawrence i am 26 and live in a suburb called Rochedale which is Brisbane QLD. I have one sister Heather and my mum and dad. Myself and my father are partners in a landscaping business which is doin pretty good right now. Why Blackburn? Well my Grandmother and Grandfather used to go over seas and bring back soccer jerseys for me and well Blackburn Rovers was the first one i got so yeh i have followed them since 92.

2) Being an Aussie Rover, what is it like when we are surrounded by every Tom Dick and Harry who supports the big 4!

I am the only supporter of Blackburn out of my mates with most of them supporting liverpool, They give me crap all the time and i always remind them that we have won a premier league and well the havn't haha

3)What are your thoughts on the season just gone by

Well i think the whole selling of the club and sacking of the dice (Allardyce) really dominated the news and well that just stuffed us for most the season. I think by the end of the season we started playing decent good football and it was good to see Hoilett, Jones, and Ollson get some real good games together and showed us what a bright future they have in the game.

4) What can we look forward to next season

I look forward to getting some consistent games, and as though it looks doubtful trying to keep Phil Jones. I look forward to finally having some money to spend on players and hopefully we use it wisely . I think things are finally looking good for us rovers fans yay haha

5) Realistically, who should we be hunting in the transfer market!

Realistically we should be after a couple of defenders if we lose Jones. I think Johnson from the brum would be good I do think he is over priced. I think a decent striker and back up striker as well a midfielder or 2. And if venkys are true in what they say about buying someone big maybe we should have a sneaky bid for Neymar or Bojan. i also think Charlie Adam and Nzogbia would be good choices. As much as i like Santa i think he is past it but if we could get him on a pay as you play deal then it wouldn't be to bad. Jermaine Jones also should be brought back to.

6) Favourite Rovers Player (Past or Present) and why!

Favourite Rovers player would be TUGAY just because i loved his passing game and enjoyed how all his goals were from outside the 18yard box. Since he has retired i have jumped on the Samba train and I was lucky enough to see him in sydney, be very dissapointed if he leaves the club.

Cheers Scotty! Now stop calling me!!! :P
