Reflection and Preview - Bolton to West Ham

Last weeks game at Bolton was certainly a game we were capable of winning. Last minute plans meant I would be going to the game along side fellow VBer Mikey D!

After a 3-0 win against Wolves the week before we were expecting a positive start and possible 3 points! Well.. that didn't happen did it! The first half was very hit and miss, very scrappy with not much entertainment.. Certainly not a classic!! What little entertainment there was was provided by the stewards lack of control over the fans with orders to sit down followed originally by 'Stand up if you hate Burnley stand up!! Second half was an improvement on the performance front, but some sloppy defending let us down in the end. Having said this it was a thoroughly enjoyable day out!

Losing 2-1 to an in form Bolton side is not great but at the same time it is not disastrous! So when news broke the following day that Big Sam had been sacked it was inevitable that it would cause some outrage! I could talk about the decision until i'm blue in the face, but I think we have heard enough about it for now so moving on!

Up next: The Bogey team.. West Ham.

Of the last 8 games between the 2 sides, the last 3 have been draws! and before that Rovers have come out worse on the previous 5 occasions with West Ham winning all 5!

Rovers go into the weekend in better form than the opposition and have a good chance of finally getting a win against the Hammers! Rovers have won the last 3 home games with West Ham losing their last 2 away, and no win in their previous 5!

Steve Kean is the man in charge of making sure we break the hoodoo this weekend and entertaining football is set to be on the agenda. A win is needed that is for sure, as the Christmas period is key for Rovers this season with the league being so tight. A poor run of form could leave us hanging over the relegation zone, whilst a few wins could put us in contention for a Europa League spot!

Form says a Rovers win, but this is our Bogey team we are talking about.. so anything could happen.

I will go with my gut feeling. I got the score right last week so I hope to improve with the goals going to the right teams this week!

My prediction: Blackburn Rovers 2-0 West Ham United

Cheers, Rover23

These are a really easy and logical read mate. I agree the last 5 head to head would be a good idea as well...
