VB August Player of the Month

VB August Player of the Month
With three games in August it was a short month footballing wise but there was certainly enough on display to decide on the Vital Blackburn Player of the Month for August.

We as site have been voting on our main site poll who is the man for the month of August and our unanimous winner is.... El Hadji Diouf.

Diouf No.1 polled exactly half of all votes cast on the short listed players and takes home the title with some sterling (and much improved) displays out on the wing.

Diouf number 2 or Mame Biram came in second as he bagged four goals in all competitions.

Morten Gamst Pedersen was in third with some vibrant showings and continues the trend of players with 3 initials doing well in the month of August.

But well done to El Hadji Diouf and long may his August performances continue.

- Chris Samba 8%

- Morten Gamst Pedersen 12%

- Phil Jones 9%

- EH Diouf 50%

- MB Diouf 18%

- Niko Kalinic 3%

Both Diouf's have got off to a good start! I hope it continues long into the season. Also MGP has been playing really well too - keep it up guys!

Totally agree with Diouf, Saw quite a few of the pre season games and he has started the season well too, Playing arguably the best football he has since arriving at Rovers and is being alot more direct in his attacking play, Could be a real thorn in many teams side this season
