Nikola Kalinic....Split Decision!!!!

After an initial 6 million pound transfer, Nikola Kalinic was always one for the future, according to Sam Allardyce. However, after a barren run of games, with the luckless Di Santo and the hopeless Roberts unable to find the net, Kalinic has been given an extended run in the first team

After several cup outings, Kalinic finally got his chance in the Premier League, and has 1 goal so far to his name.

despite his goal scoring record, i can see quality in him. may be not this season, but i'm sure he'll shine next season if we can get him more support.

I think he would be more productive if he had some better service. Lobbing 30-40yd balls at him isn't working. Either he fouls the defender or can't keep possession of the ball because he's got no support. How about playing it low and/or on the ground...let him run in to space? The young man is getting "killed".

well said lads, he needs someone up there with him. he is a workhorse, does have some skill on the ball, but cant do it on his own!

i think rovers are going through an unlucky spell in not finding the back of the net after so many chances, but i think next season when everyone has settled nicko will start smashing them i like santa cruz did for us!

He is a very similar player to Roque, but he just needs to learn to be a bit more physical. I think he has good all round ability - a fiar bit of pace, good aeriel ability and he can sure use his feet. Thankfully, he is getting the run every striker needs (Benni didn't!) and I am sure he will get better. As with the comments above he would have a better chance (and scoring record), if he had a strike partner.

He needs some good service, Olsson will provide from the left, Hoilett from the right. Dunn from the middle. Time to ban hoofball, and play some football Sam!

He has to be the least graceful person I have ever seen... but I like him and I can see only good in him.

i have never seen a man hit the post more times in my life before scoring a goal i think he hit over 10 times before a goal went in which is quite amazing
