Franco Di Santo....Need More Time!

Signed on a 6 month loan deal from Chelsea, Franco Di Santo has unexpectedly led the Rovers frontline for the majority of the season. Despite all the hard work, tactical ability and effort, Di Santo has the loan goal to his name, probably the easiest goal he will ever score, a header into an open net in the Derby against Burnley.

Whilst only scoring the one goal, Di Santo has shown us glimpses and flashes of brilliance, the scissor kick against Villa, the brilliant flick off for Dunny in the derby....

However, it looks like the lack of goals has casted some doubt in the minds of the VBERS.....

Time to start putting a few more in the back of the net Mr Di Santo!!!

Hot or Not will take a break for a few weeks, giving our other pre season signings, Salgado, Kalinic and Van Heerden a few more weeks on the pitch before we cast our decision....

We'll take Franco Di back in a heartbeat if you dont want him. Beggers cant be choosers, you know. And if these 'pre-season signings' are so good...I'm sure Big Sam would have them in the line-up in a flash, if he were so confident of them producing more than Franco...

calm down blues first! the majority arent saying they dont like him... just he prob hasnt scored enough to jusitfy going the whole boat on him. Fair enough. I personally rate the hell out of him!

with Borini and Sturridge coming through at Chelsea this lad doesn't have much time to graduate!

Just like to say get well soon to Big Sam from all at Vital ManCity. We may not exactly see eye to eye with your gaffer, but some things are more important than football rivalry. See, today was another day where he worked the socks off for you lot- YOu would'nt have got the first without him! And you lot still say you're not decided?? Wow!

Merlin, he'll be a big star, I tell you! The kid's improving physically and just needs a few goals. Very unlucky not to have got himself one today.

comon jt initially we were playin him as a lone striker so he has to SCORE but with the new formation hell do well
aadil4rovers
lol if you say so, aadil!

The formation we played today suited Di Santo and he looked disappointed to come off but not angry which is exactly the RIGHT attitude to have!

Don't care who scores as long they all work hard, give their best and keep winning.

I thought DiSanto was very good today, unlucky not to score. I like the fact that he tracks back and defends - something that Benni doesn't do! I thought he also got more involved than Jason Roberts - and he played the whole game!

The vast majority of Rovers fans would be delighted if Sam signed Di Santo permanently. He always puts a shift in, has a great touch, and links well with others. If he scored a few as well he would be the complete package, but then we couldn't afford him. Personally I had a few reservations at the start of the season, but I have been very impressed by his work ethic, just needs a few more pies to stop those fat centre halves knocking him about

Yep, a few more hours in the Gym each day, I think.
