Wonder Goal Wins It
Blackburn's Championship season continued with a one-nil defeat against Reading at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday as the unbeaten run Rovers had been on was ended going into Christmas.
Reading took an early lead when a Hal Robson-Kanu flick to Danny Williams was fired home into the top corner with Jason Steele having no chance in the Blackburn goal.
That goal, on 11-minutes, as it happened proved to be the winner!
Fode Koita almost snatched a point for Blackburn in injury-time but Reading 'keeper Jonathan Bond made a save to prevent this but the Royals had enjoyed the better of the chances and could have scored more.
As it was Rovers could have, perhaps should have, gone ahead before Reading did score but Koita headed over from close range with Hope Akpan denied against his former side.
If I hadn't been for Steele though, with him saving from Garath McCleary and Ola John on a couple of occasions to keep the hopes alive, it could have been more but an equaliser wasn't found as the eight-match unbeaten run, spread over the lead of two different bosses, came to an end.
These were the other results.

Middlesbrough consolidated their place at the top of the Championship, and ended Brighton unbeaten start to the season, with a resounding three-nil win at the Amex Stadium to know they'll go into Christmas top of the pile.
It's been a difficult few weeks for Burnley but the Clarets got back to winning ways with a resounding four-nil win against struggling Charlton with another struggling side Rotherham causing an upset to see off the challenge of Hull with Neil Redfearn's side winning two-nil at the New York Stadium.
Rivals Derby and Nottingham Forest also collected good wins against Ipswich and MK Dons respectively.
On Sunday we saw a great result for Sheffield Wednesday with the Owls going into Christmas with a four-one win Wolves at Hillsborough.
