Vital Report - Blackburn 0-1 Burnley
Blackburn's Championship season continued with a defeat at Ewood Park against Lancashire rivals Burnley on Saturday.
A second half strike from Arfield meant Burnley went away from Ewood with a one-nil win over Blackburn, with that goal coming against the run of play but not one Rovers could recover from.

This started with a high tempo, which unsurprisingly given the derby nature, saw tempers high too but things did clam down.
Burnley threatened to take the lead with in-form Burnley man Gray going close as did Barton, who recently made the move to the Clarets, but neither were able to beat Steele who didn't have to worry about facing a penalty with Barton claiming one.
Steele was forced into a save though before the break when Vokes had a chance.
In the second half Blackburn started to cause more problems with Conway a danger, and posing a threat to the Burnley defence but this couldn't be converted into that many clear cut chances.
That chance to breakthrough did come though for Leicester loanee Lawrence but the Welsh international didn't have the composure required to score after good play involving himself and Rhodes as the chance passed Blackburn by with a Rovers penalty also claimed by Lawrence but this wasn't awarded.
Rhodes had Keane beaten, twisting him inside and out to create an opening but his finish was weak with Heaton able to save, which them saw Burnley break away and the Rovers misery of that compounded when, just past the hour, Arfield (63) fired Burnley into the lead.

An equaliser was pushed for but the closest Blackburn came was when the crossbar denied Conway late on when his effort hit this as Rovers' winless run against Burnley was extended to five-matches, having won the previous six but more concerning is the fact Rovers are right in a relegation mix at this point!
Did a starter, or someone from the bench, offer the most?
