Sit Tight Guys

The first of 2 massive games that will determine our season as the quest for Europe goes on. Man United next week, but first Liverpool away. Time to step up.

Liverpool Team News:

Javier Mascherano will complete a three-match suspension for his red card against Manchester United and will miss out.

Daniel Agger (knee), Harry Kewell (hamstring) and Jermaine Pennant (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Player to watch: Fernando Torres

Bangs in goals for fun and after being criticised for a 25+ million transfer fee has been worth every penny so far.

If he plays tomorrow then we'll have to keep him quiet to have any chance of getting something out of the game.

Blackburn Team News:

Blackburn are sweating over the fitness of Jason Roberts as he struggles to shake off a groin problem.

Roberts is set to undergo a late fitness test, but if he misses out Benni McCarthy will partner Roque Santa Cruz in attack.

David Dunn is doubtful for Rovers after he missed last weekend's draw with Tottenham because of a knee injury.

Steven Reid should be fit to play despite being substituted late on against Spurs with cramp in his calf.

If both miss out then a central midfield combo of Vogel and Bentley could be the way forward. I quite like the sound of that.

Player to watch: David Bentley

Media specualtion has been linking him with a move to Liverpool in the summer and while the media are doing there best to disrupt things and be generally annoying by making things up. The specualtion will only increase if he has another good game tomorrow.

And he probably will.

Ref Watch:

Alan Wiley (Burntwood, Staffordshire). Thank god its not Mark Halsey. He loves sending our players off against Mersyside clubs.

Match Prediction:

I think it will be close and a low scoring game. I have a sneaky feeling Rovers will go 4-5-1 and so will the Scousers. I'll go 1-1 as the optimist within me demands it.

Next Fixtures:

Man United at home. Sit tight guys. We're doing it the hard way.

Last year was 1-1 at Anfield. A certain Craig Bellamy with the equaliser for us. I'm a predicting a 2-0 win for Liverpool tomorrow.

Rafa Benitez probably won't be able to help himself rotating a bit, so I think this could help us. I don't think that draw is a bad shout but I'm going to stick my neck out and say we'll win!
