Rovers Tracking Farfan

Jefferson Farfan is reportedly unsettled in Holland, with rumours floating he is willing to buy out his contract if no club comes in for him at the end of the season.

The Peruvian International Star is being closely monitored by Blackburn, West Ham, Fiorentina and Sevilla, as well as several other European clubs.

With Morten Gamst Pederson struggling at left flank, and Roque being our sole source of goals of late, Jefferson Farfan can slot in perfectly into the first team.

Whilst i hate to say it (not really), i did mention this for the last few months, A huge talent, and a big sign of our ambition if we can sign a player of such quality. Farfan can slot in on the left, or even play upfront. However i do feel Sparky will persist with Gamst unless silly money is offered. Sasman predicts if this signing does occur, Gamst can fill the attacking midfielder role. Ive always seen him filling inbehind the strikers.

A great move, if it can be performed.

WOW, if this does go through, simply put WOW. Absolute class this lad, i have backed him for a while, i think SPARKY has his scouts watching our forums lads. Watch out for an Australian Ambush in the summer, Culina,, Bresciano, Kennedy and Sarkies lolll

I've seen this guy play for PSV quite a few times and I have to say that at times his all round play is outstanding. Hopefully if we do bring him in it will push Pedersen to play better than he already is. If we get Farfan I think it will show the ambition that this club has and that hopefully we are pushing for the champions league next year
Big Man up Front
Welcome aboard matey, havent seen you before. What a way to make your name, agreeing with the Sas lol. THis guy is something special isnt he, Farfan can go a long way
sasman
This was actually my second comment since joining sasman, but still thanks for the welcome. Anyway back to the topic yes i believe this guy could become an integral part of our team if we buy him, he is very quick and agile and has a good shot on him plus he is still very young (only 22). If Hughes buys him I would rate him up there with Roque as one of hisbest signings
Big Man up Front
I've been aware of Jefferson for a while and he is definitely the type of player we should be pursuing. Whether we have enough pull to land him however would be another hurdle all together. First time Ive seen your name too BMUF so again, a belated welcome and congratulations on becoming a VBer!
BomBom
If we can't offer him Champions League football (which is very unlikely) then I don't think we have a hope in hell of landing him.
spinaker7081
I think you are right dude, Champions League football is probably more important to him than it is Benni?!?!
Hughes Da Man
We need investment to pull this deal off I think. And welcome aboard big man up front... assuming you are no relation to Paul Dickov????
MikeyGamst
We tried to get him to Pompey last season, but were told we wern't big enough for him!!!!! No we ain't Man U or Chelsea but I don't see them chasing him. Good luck.
storagematt
Cheers mate, i think with Sparky at the helm, we can up our targets a little, due to his pedigree and history as a striker...look who we have signed before, bellamy, benni mac, roque
sasman
I dont think its as simple as that though Sas, we rescued Bellers and Santas careers and benni was gettin on but farfan is coming into his prime and i seriously doubt if we are the type of club that he would want to move to.
BomBom
Well we always sign him whenever I play Champ. An omen?!?!? Lol. He woudl be a terrific acquisition but I can't see it materialising. Still fingers crossed.
roversman
Rofl he is always 1 of my first signings also, however football manager is better matey lol
sasman
Apparantly he has a release fee clause, hopefuly it aint too much and we can trigger it
