Another GREAT Premier League Idea!!!

Blackburn Rovers playing in Sydney, Los Angeles or Johannesburg for example sounds SUPERB doesn't it in theory? The only problem with this theory is the Premier League WANTS this to be as part of the Premier League season!!!

It looks like the money mad dudes at the Premier League (who seem to be getting richer and richer all the time, which to be fair also helps the Premier League clubs get richer as well, but some more so than others!!!) have come up with another great moneymaking scam! They want the ENGLISH (this being the key word!!!) Premier League taken on a "David Beckham LA Galaxy style Road Show" tour of the World, with an extra round of matches taking place each season abroad?!?!

I could rant and rave ALL day long about this, and will NEVER come to the conclusion that I think that it is a good idea, as it ISN'T only the rich will become richer as the appeal of the Premier League is once again taken advantage of, and at the costs of whom? Well the everyday honest, loyal and genuine fan. Enough find it hard enough as it is to follow Rovers at Ewood Park, HOW will they then be able to follow them in Australia, America or South Africa for example?!?! The reality is THEY WON'T, but that doesn't matter does it, so long as the Premier League gets what they want and get their pound of flesh!!!

I TOTALLY hate this idea, I think it is an absolute joke and I can't believe that the Premier League (hang on, actually I can!!!) could do this, forgetting the fact that it is just COMPLETELY the wrong thing to do, what about the fairness involved?!?! An extra match against a lesser or greater opponents could make or break your season?!?!

Just wrote this on our Boro forum - Imagine that Wigan and Bolton were level on points going into the last game and were sitting joint 18th. Bolton got drawn with Liverpool and Wigan got drawn with Derby. Bolton lose, Wigan win - there would be outrage and rightly so. One of many negatives that proves the idea is a load of crap.

Fair enough lads, but i disagree on one point, if blackburn, or any club in the prem league did play over here, the ground will be packed to capacity due to the quality of football. They wont necessarily be blackburn fans, but they would be football fans, i say a round of friendlies
