Friedel: Show Sparky The Money!!!

Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel is hoping that the board will give manager Mark Hughes some funds to spend in the summer.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper, who signed a new contract extension this week did so as he believes in what Hughes and company are doing at Ewood Park, however, he does hope that Sparky will be given some funds in the summer to ensure that we keep going in the right direction, with Europe very much possible this season according to him.

Friedel told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I like working with the staff we have here and we`ve got a good group of players assembled.

"Hopefully the club will give Mark some money to spend in the summer and we can keep pushing onwards.

"I think we are in with a excellent chance (of qualifying for Europe)
."

Money is in not readily available but Sparky WILL need a bit to spend in the summer, as bargains CAN'T be found forever, and will only improve us for so long.

I hope (and do think) that what Bradders is asking for WILL happen this summer, it has to really or we could be left behind. With as little as £10 million I think Sparky could work miracles.

I agree mate. That kind of money could bring in two or three players using Sparky's tremendous scouting and negotiating skills.

Well done by bradders for having the confidence to stand up and speak his mind

If anyone can get away with saying this its Brad. He is so respected he can speak his mind. Good call as well as he speaks the truth.

Yeah, he wouldn't have done it if he knew he couldn't (maybe he got a little shove in the right direction?!?!)
Hughes Da Man
Maybe HDM... maybe Tugay should speak up as well???

He's number one!
