Ooijer Out Of Dutch Squad
Blackburn Rovers defender Andre Ooijer has withdrawn from the Dutch squad ahead of their friendly with Croatia on Wednesday.
Ooijer did join up with his Dutch team-mates, but the medical staff decided that he was not fit enough and he is now back at Ewood Park. However, the problem isn't thought to be that serious and anything for us to worry about. The veteran defender did play the full 90 minutes against Everton last Saturday, but he does have a slight groin problem, however, his withdrawal is more a precautionary measure.
There SHOULN'T be any problems with the Dutch International being fit to face Arsenal, which would have been a concern, especially with Christopher Samba suspended and Ryan Nelsen currently sidelined.

eh bom he will be, we (ireland) have no decent players in the middle bar dare i say it andy reid (great at intenational level) and our own reidy who was sorely missed throughout the last campaign! but i know you dont rate him but then your forced to support koumas et al eugh!

Durks your midfield must be really poor if ur best player is Reid! Its not that Im not a fan, its just I really dont see why hes held up to such reverie when hes had half a decent season since signing for us. hes a decent utility player and a decent squad player but one not worthy of starting regularly IMO. Then again, i wasnt a fan of Fat Arrow Atkins and that wasnt a popular opinion to hold either so meh!

Fair play bommy as you know you are in the minority on this one. reidy is one of Mikey's favourites and is a driving force behind the team. I think Ooijer should be fine based on what Im hearing and I think Reidy's is a precautionary measure too... time will tellb ut I think both should be fine. I hope so anyway as we're nearly in hedgehog territory!!!!
