Santa Cruz Player of the Month (Jan)

Santa Cruz Player of the Month (Jan)

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Player of the Month for January?" We voted in favour of Roque Santa Cruz.

After winning the Forward of the Month poll by a country mile Santa Cruz JUST scoops the overall Player of the Month poll also with 39%, this saw him narrowly edge out David Bentley who finished as the runner-up with 34%.

The rest were much the same as each other, although Brett Emerton (10%) did stand out from the rest.

So in summary
David Bentley - 34%
Matt Derbyshire - 7%
David Dunn - 5%
Brett Emerton - 10%
Brad Friedel - 5%
Roque Santa Cruz - 39%

With the Player of the Month for January out of the way, the Goal of the Month for January will come soon, but first the current poll inspired by The Rovers Players is asking, "Rovers Man of the Match v Everton?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings.

This was a close run thing, Bents has been superb for most of the season, but Santa has also been almost as good for most of it as well. Personally I went for Bents.

Looks like Santa Cruz partner in crime, Nelson Cuevas, is being linked to us, with him coming out in the media and stating he wants to play club football with roque at blackburn

We could end up with the Paraguay national squad!!! lol... to be fair if Cuevas comes there is less chance of Roque leaving. Well done Roque.

VERY true, I've only heard good thing about Roque's countryman, so if it ALSO helps keep him here then this can't be a bad thing can it?!?!
