Santa Cruz: I'm Very Happy Here

Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has ONCE AGAIN stressed that he is more than happy with life at Ewood Park.

The 15-goal striker Stan Cruz, who has already targeted at least 20 goals this season has been subject to transfer gossip linking him with a move to either Manchester City or Tottenham Hotspur, but the Paraguayan International insists that he and his family are very happy where they are and they have NO plans on moving anytime soon.

Santa Cruz told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I'm very happy here and I'm just focused on playing well for the team and helping the team to become better also.

"I'm not really interested in talking about what's going on with other situations because I'm very happy here and enjoying every minute of my time at Blackburn.

"It's very hard to know why I settled in so quickly.

"But I was very impressed with the quality of the team, and the kind of people that they are, so I think that made it much easier for me to settle in quickly.

"My family is also very happy here and that helps because it allows me to concentrate on playing football
."

This is ALL very good to hear, and shows his commitment to Rovers.

Players of his quality are bound to attract interest but as long as he is happy (and he is) he will be staying with us. We ARE NOT in a position where we have to sell players, funds might be tight for Sparky but selling just to buy others will get us NO WHERE!!!

I hope Santa has not placed the strikers curse apon himself. Let the goals keep flowing

He seems very genuine to me and after all why leave if your career has picked up?
FreidelNo.1
To me he seems like a genuine type so I don't see him shooting off any time soon. Hopefully we can enjoy a few years of his quality. Like its been mentioned he is a world class name and other others on the world stage see how happy he is he could be a great bargaining chip. EWell done Santa

Well done Roque. He always comes across very genuine and has had a great first season. Speculation will always be there for Rocky, Bentley, Reid and Samba but they all know there on to a good thing here.

What i really like about Roque is the effort he puts in, he chases everything down, doesnt give up, and is always floating around in the box, keep it up lad
