Rovers Target Chilean Skipper

Rovers Target Chilean Skipper

Blackburn Rovers are apparently interested in signing Chilean International midfielder Claudio Maldonado.

Rovers manager Mark Hughes is looking at reinforcements before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday and the 28-year-old Chilean International skipper appears to fit the bill as the player to possibly try and replace the void left by Robbie Savage.

Defensive midfielder Maldonado currently plays for Brazilian club Santos, with whom he has been with since 2000, and was linked with a move to Spain earlier this month. The price being quoted is around the £1 million mark.

I don't know anything about the dude (other than what the Internet tells me, so have no real comment to make other than in Sparky we trust!!! If he is a target of his, and he sees him as being good enough, that would be good enough for me.

He sounds like he could add some steel spliced with class to the midfield. Wouldn't be a bad acquisition.

YES YES YES SIGN HIM UP!!!!!! I have lots of South American friends, hence i do watch a lot of South American football. This guy fits the bill, 1 million is a bargain. As mentioned, he is a defensive midfielder, i would prefer to also sign an attackive midfielder but this guy will do
