Rovers Man of the Match v Boro

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll asked, "Rovers Man of the Match v Middlesbrough?" We voted Brett Emerton.

He only had 25 minutes on the pitch but Emerton picked up a Man of the Match Award against Middlesbrough. His 28% saw him claim the award JUST ahead of Andre Ooijer (25%)

The other were much the same as each other, although Matt Derbyshire (15%), Steven Reid (12%) and Brad Friedel (11%) did stand out from the rest.

Only 25 minutes on the pitch and he still picks up the Man of the Match Award!!! Either he was VERY good or we really were that bad before he came on?!?!

I didn't think he was particularly impressive enough to warrant a MOTM award. My vote was with Reid. I thought he had a blinder, looked good going forward, when Dunn was replaced. Nice to see my fellow VF'ers acknowledge Ooijers performance! :-)

To be fair HDM it was a mixture of the two... emerton changed the game when he came on. His pace injection helped us penetrate the boro defence.

Oijer can count himself unlucky to miss out, thats gotta be said, though as i mentioned, i felt his fresh legs made a difference
