That Will NEVER Happen!!!

Blackburn Rovers have been linked with a move for Wigan Athletic midfielder Jason Koumas, but they seem to be asking an awful lot in return!!!

Koumas appears to be a target for Mark Hughes (and has seemed to have been for some time) but it is understood that Wigan want Rovers midfielder Steven Reid in exchange for the Welsh International, and this ISN'T going to happen is it!!!

You can see why Wigan would be asking such a thing, as they want to replace Koumas with a quality footballer, but the Republic of Ireland International has spent too much time with Rovers recovering from a series of Injuries and Hughes has been desperate to get him back so Hughes WILL NOT be letting him go, no matter how much he might want Koumas, so that's the end of this deal?!?!

Hughes Da Man
depends on how much Hughes wants Koumas!
merlin
doesnt matter how much he wants koumas as reidy is by far the better player
durks de rover
If this trade does happen, Sparky has gone nuts, hence it aint happening
sasman
If Rovers are looking to strengthen the midfield wot point would bringing one in and letting one go be?? This is just paper talk, as Hughes would never willingly lose a player who can play rite/left back and anywhere in the midfield, well u would hope anyway.

Good point Clint. This is as absurd as the Benni Viduka swap. Just plain silly!

Its insane to think we'd get rid of one our best players to get Koumas, who granted is good but he's not a reaplcement for Reid, he can and hopefully will, play WITH him. As for Benni/Viduka, God we only think Benni is lazy at times, maybe a few years ago Rovers would've jumped at the idea, when Vidula was playing well, but now... well he plays for Newcastle lol Anyway why would u swap someone that is worth £8m - potentially £10m for Viduka who even on a free wouldnt be worth the money
Clint
hey hey, cant be as absurd as benni viduka swap, duks is awesome
sasman
NO NO NO NO NO!

Hughes hasn't gone mad - this won't happen, it's the papers writing something for the sake of it, otherwise they'd have to put some more of Amy Winehouse or Pete Docherty in the paper they sell. Reid is going no where.
