Rovers Look To Tie Up Domovchiyski

Blackburn Rovers are looking to tie up a loan move for striker Valeri Domovchiyski, a move that the Bulgarian youngster VERY much wants.

Bulgarian hotshot Domovchiyski has spent some time on trial with Rovers recently, but returned to Levski Sofia over the weekend but he is hoping that they will allow him to return to Rovers, who are understood to want to arrange a loan deal for the remainder of the season ahead of a probably permanent move to Ewood Park in he summer, and this is a move that Domovchiyski wants.

Domovchiyski is quoted by Setanta Sports as saying: "I really want to play in The Premiership. I doubt that anyone would turn down such an offer.

"For the moment they say they can take me only for the summer and they'll send an offer to Levski in a couple of days. I hope to reach an agreement with the management when they call me to talks
."

The Bulgarian Under-21 International knows that he WOULD have a fight on his hands to get into the Rovers team, but this doesn't frighten him as he very much wants to sign for us as he has been impressed with the set-up.

He added: "Blackburn have many good players. It will be tough, but I am not scared. I'll claim my place among their strikers. Everything in the team is perfect. All you think of is football. We had a practice with the assistant manager.

"Mark Hughes was just watching on us from outside. I was quite surprised by the physical fitness of their players. They are working out in the gym all day.

"And I'll work out like them if the management of Levski let me join Blackburn
."

Rovers are not short of strikers but Domovchiyski is VERY highly rated, so along with Matt Derbyshire and Roque Santa Cruz (along with other youngsters coming through the ranks) would be the future for Rovers, that is not to say that Benni McCarthy and Jason Roberts are past it, but they are both thirty, or thereabouts so will not have that many years left in them here.
So I say SIGN HIM UP while we can!!!

yeah get him in but why cant sparky concentrate on the more pressing issues like midfield and defence. again at the weekend we looked like we hadnt a clue how to defend. so far we have been linked with koumas(not good enough IMO) and faye (donkey)

Sounds as though Hughes wants to see if he can build up his strenght and fitness and see if he can fit into the league before a permenant move... very shrewd!

He is wanting to be here so I say take him on loan. Or why not a move for Podolski instead?!?!?

I like these comments as it shows his attitude and commitement are in the right place. I dont think Hughes would sign anyone who was all talk anyway!!! and poddolski si rumoured to cost about 12 million... surely this would rule us out guys???

If we can get young hungry players in now then thats great news, as Hughes Da Man said Roberts and Benni are two players that havn't done it this year for one reason or another, Rigters is more than likely heading out on loan ( I think the English game was a big surprsie for him after being a rising name in Dutch football ) so being loaned will do him good! Roversman im sure with the Santa Cruz - Bayern connection a move for Podolski would not be unheard of, although the asking price at the end of it prob would rule us out - unless we get about 10+m for Benni?!?!?

how about a straight swap.. benni for podolski? I could see that being good for both sides (very different players).. then again.. we NEED A MIDFIELDER!!!

I think is Hughes being very very smart in the Transfer Market, he hasnt a lot of money to spare and with him wanting Koumas and maybe another couple of young midfielders, then the 1.5m saved NOW will go into them, more players for your money!!
