Tranmere Sign Taylor Permanently

Blackburn Rover have allowed Andy Taylor to move to Tranmere Rovers on a permanent basis.

The 21-year-old left-back had been on loan with Tranmere for the past two-month, and after beating off competition for his signature from Blackpool (who had previously had Taylor on loan) he has completed his move to Prenton Park for an undisclosed amount and has signed a two-and-a-half year contract, much to Tranmere manager Ronnie Moore's delight.

Moore told Sky Sports News: "We've been battling over the last three or four days with Blackpool to get his signature, we matched the fee that they offered, so it's great Andy has decided to come to us with Blackpool being in the Championship.

"He will definitely get first-team football here because he is a quality player. I believe he is money in the bank for this football club.

"He's been one of our best players during this barren spell we are having in front of goal
.

Taylor himself was also pleased, he added: "I'm really pleased to be joining Tranmere. I enjoyed my time here on loan and I'm looking forward to playing more football here."

I had been saying he wouldn't return hadn't I dudes. I wish him all the very best, it's just a shame that he never made the breakthrough here that had been expected, or at least hoped.

Finally gone then, That lad has had some loans, I bet hes been more on loan than not in the last 18 months, not sure Tranmere is the ideal move though.

I'm sorry to see the dude go, but I always thought this was the most likely outcome for him. Only time will tell if it is the right thing, but in Sparky we trust.
Hughes Da Man
We certainly do boss.
