Davids In Rovers' Thoughts

Blackburn Rovers are preparing a move for midfielder Lance Davis, according to media speculation.

The 22-year-old South African enjoyed a successful loan spell at Ewood Park recently and is available for around 500,000 from Swedish club Djurgardens, but according to his agent Rob Moore Rovers face competition from clubs in Germany and a top Belgian club.

Moore told Fotbolldirekt.com: "Lance did well at Blackburn. Manager Mark Hughes was very pleased with him.'

"A club from the Bundesliga and a top club from Belgium are interested
."

If Mark Hughes liked what he saw from Davids during his trial I am sure that he will make a move for the South African.

Until anything develops this is all speculation, but 500,000 is not a lot of money, so if Sparky was impressed I wouldn't imagine we would have much problem paying this amount.

yer not sure is he just another Axe or does he have skill etc... not sure but in spakry we trust!!!

I would rather have this lad than Faye, who is at best average. Davids looks like he has a degree of versatility to his game.
roversman
Faye cant get into Rangers team and is on loan from Charlton I think that says it all! your man Davids has been onloan b4 so Hughes will know wot he's all about
Clint
you want him then talk with him, if he's been here he knows what the club is like and will either love it or loathe it
ozanne park rangers
Agree with roversman and clint, rather have him whom i havent really seen then snap up faye
sasman
Have seen snippets of Davids and can tell you he has a bit more flair and better touch than the axe. He is a little bit more attacking as well... if Hughes likes that is good enough for me.
MikeyGamst
is he in their african nations team?
Bents4eng
Another young player - If we get him I am impressed with the youthful players we are massing. However do we need to get some experienced players for now?
FreidelNo.1
I always thing, we have youngsters coming through so why can't they be given a chance first? But at the same time if he is an improvment then he has to be signed.
Hughes Da Man
From what I seen he is better than our youngsters. In all honesty why we havent signed him yet is a mystery to me... cheap, talented, just what we need.
