Savage Keen To Prove Hughes Wrong

Derby County midfielder (its seems strange saying that!) Robbie Savage has vowed to prove Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes wrong.

The former Welsh International completed his move to Derby on Wednesday as he wanted regular first team football, something that Hughes could not guarantee him at Ewood Park. So now he wants to prove to Sparky that he is capable of playing every Premier League game.

Savage told BBC Radio Derby: "I want to prove Mark Hughes wrong - that I am still capable of playing every game in the Premier League.

"Injuries and suspensions come along but if I stay clear of them - the second probably not - it'll be great
."

I do HOPE that people take this in the way that it is said, Sav ISN'T knocking Rovers or Sparky at all, he is just making a point; this ISN'T a bad word against us it is just him saying what he wants to prove.

I'd be surprised if Sav DIDN'T play every game for Derby (injury and suspension aside) as he is exactly what they need. He could have still done a job with us, he just might not have done it week in week out. It was the right move for all concerned.
Again I wish him all the best and hope that he can help Derby stay up. I doubt that this will be possible, but I will then wish him luck in helping to bring them back.

Common sense lads, the guy wants first team football. We cant give it to him every game, he took a pay cut to head to Derby so he can give 110 percent. Id take that, no matter who it is. Savage will always be held highly in my view, i wish him the best of luck and look forward to him being sent of against us for tackling one of his own players. He will be missed

If Savage doesn't want to be misunderstood, he should learn to express his views better. If you read what he said literally and between the lines, he is having a go at Sparky. He does have a lot to offer Derby, his enthusiam, energy, windup-ability, nigglyness, that you need for a relagation scrap. I hope the Derby don't boo him!

i think your wrong mate, sav came out yesterday full of praise about sparky and the club....nothing in between the lines there mate
sasman
I think you got this one wrong decimus. Savage aint having a knock he is just saying he can play every game which Hughes felt he couldnt/wouldnt.
