Hasan Sas Linked With Rovers Move

Hasan Sas Linked With Rovers Move

Blackburn Rovers are being linked with a move for Galatasary's Hasan Sas.

The 31-year-old Turkish International is refusing to sign a new contract with Galatasary so it looks as though his long time association with the Turkish giants will come to an end, and the newspaper speculation today is linking him with a move to Ewood Park, where he would link up with his former Turkish International colleague Tugay.

What sort of fee (if he does sign and indeed if Rovers are interested?) for Sas (who was part of the Turkish team that finished in third place at the 2002 World Cup) has not been revealed, however, with him towards the end of his contract it would be minimal as he can leave for FREE in the summer anyway.

Hes a talented lad who can play up front and has done so for many years for the Aslan alongside the bull of the bosphorus and former Rover Haka Sukur as well as being able to play out wide and behind the front 2. A bit like Bents but IMO not as talented. would be a decent cover player, a la Djorkaeff.

Is Hasan Sas the bald one? I'm sure if he did sign, Tugay will be a big influence in his decision to come. If Sas can play until he is Tug's age, we have at least 28 years good football from him! :-)

Not sure on this wouldn't really want him here to be honest unless Roberts and Gallagher go, but still we have four forwards so not sure.

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
