Hodge Returns To Ewood Park

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Bryan Hodge has returned to Ewood Park after his loan with Millwall ended.

The 20-year-old midfielder enjoyed a highly successful loan spell with Millwall and they are keen to sign him on a permanent basis but Millwall manager Kenny Jackett is refusing to pay the fee that we are asking for the youngster, so so far nothing has been agreed and he has come back to Ewood.

Hodge is not going to have that many first team opportunities (if any) in the future so a move away from Ewood Park is likely sooner or later, and I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen sooner with an agreement being reached with Millwall eventually?!?!

Sparky has given him chances when others might have got rid of him (off the field problems) but he isn't going to play a part for Rovers in the immediate, and probably long-term future so I expect he will be allowed to leave.
Roversman had suggested that we should be looking to put some sort of sell-on clause in a contract, which I think is a SUPERB idea.

I should negotiate contracts for Rovers! Nah, my commission would be too high! I hope he does go to Millwall as they do seem to like him there.

I think sell-on clauses are a good idea and would be great for us when he develops in the future - good call!

He Has Been Good For Us And We Would Like Him To Return To The Den, I'm Sure The Sell On Clause Idea Is The Right Way Forward...!

If we can get the sell on clause in there then great stuff. lets do it. I havent seen enough of him to comment fairly on Hodge to be honest.

Any good is he? do you think he can break into the first team or will he be on his way?
