Fulham Eyeing Stephane Henchoz Move

Blackburn Rovers defender Stephane Henchoz could be a target for Fulham, as they look for reinforcements in their relegation fight.

Henchoz has been VERY much out in the cold this season, having returned to Ewood Park as a free agent at the start of the 2006-2007 season. With former Rovers manager Roy Hodgson having taken over at Fulham, with him a former National manager of Henchoz's when he was in charge of Switzerland this could be a viable option?!?!

Meanwhile Rovers' teenager defender Bruno Pezzoni is leaving Ewood to sign for German club Cologne.

The Germany Under-19 International has grown frustrated with the fact that he hasn't been given the chance to step up to the first team squad (despite his HUGE reputation) so he is returning to Germany, which is a loss to us.

The International links between Hodgson and Hedgehog make this a possible move, and I doubt that Sparky will stand in his way should this happen.
I think that Pezzoni is a favourite of roversmans so he will be disappointed at us losing him, which I am to as although you can understand frustration at not playing, the dude is only 18, or 19 maximum isn't he?

I didnt no Hedgy was still at the club, i guess he has been a loyal servant biding his time and filling in when necessary, good luck
sasman
Is Henchoz still at premiership level?
oranje_emu
Man, time to get rid. Not sure about this Pezzoni kid, any cop? On a similar note, has anyone been following Joe Garner this season? Can't believe we sold him!
martinr
No surprises..but is he really up to it now?
sandgroanun
he aint up to much, prob still finishin of the christmas pudding, last time i saw him he had gained a bit around the waist
sasman
Yer that Pezzoni shame to see him go but if he wants to might as well let him. Henchoz wil go if Fulham want him we should be cheeky and get some money for him lol.

Losing Pezzoni will be a big blow for me. I have high hopes for him and Hughes should try and keep hold of him. He could be a defensive midfielder or centre back. He has a brilliant work ethic so I will be gutted if he went. He is up there with De Vita, Gunning, Treacy as great prospects for the future.

There is no point in keeping Henchoz in my eyes. A trier for sure but well past his best. Was here only as back up. Having said that good luck to him as he has been a good servant over the years. As far as this Pezzoni kid goes, he is good for sure but has a temprament problem I have been led to believe. I havent seen enough of him though for a full judgement.

oranje_emu - In my opinion no Hedgehog isn't up to Premier League standard anymore, however, he COULD have the experience to help keep Fulham up?!?!
Hughes Da Man
If he goes I will miss him looking shattered after the warm up!!!
MikeyGamst
Henchoz has abit of the Hypia about him, still a good defender but way too slow for the Premier League, A bit like Savage its time to weed out the older players who have done their bit in stablizing the club, use the money freed up in wages and possible transfer payments to get younger hungry players in to compete for places!! there rumours are that Fulham are trying to get Boumsong as well, putting him and Henchoz together is not good for a team fighting relegation lol Boumsoung didnt even look good in Scotland!!
Clint
He looked shattered even before the warm up lol! Boumsong, I'd be worried if i was a Fulham fan!!!
Hughes Da Man
OH my god Boumsong and Henchoz... I would be bricking it if was at the Cottage.
MikeyGamst
He looks shattered just climbing off the team coach! Strange thing is he looked like that when he first signed for us when he was about 21!
FreidelNo.1
Yeah I would say he hasnt aged well FN1 but I;d be lying... do you reckon he has had that beard since the age of 12????!!!
MikeyGamst
How old is this bloke, seems he has been around for ages, got to be 54?
will it ever happen
