Striker Will Sign If He Impresses

Striker Will Sign If He Impresses

Should Valeri Domovchiyski impress during his trial with Blackburn Rovers, manager Mark Hughes has said that we are in a position to sign him.

The 21-year-old Bulgarian striker is undergoing a five-day trial with Rovers so Hughes can get a closer look at the highly rated Levski Sofia youngster before deciding whether to make a move. However, he has confirmed that if he does impress (which I am expecting) then Rovers can and probably WILL sign him.

Hughes told This is Lancashire: "We've had good reports on him. I haven't seen him first hand, obviously, which is why we are bringing him in.

"But he has scored a lot of goals at the level he is playing at, and we always take the opportunity, if we can, to bring in players and have a look at them first hand.

"He's also a decent age for us and if there's a deal to be made, then we are in a position to do that
."

Levski Sofia are claiming that a deal HAS already been agreed?!?!

I'm excited by the trial being given to Domovchiyski and have no doubt at all that he will impress, I'm also glad to hear that we WILL sign him if he does impress (even though Levski Sofia are saying a deal has already been agreed?!?!)

I cant say I know too much about him but if Hughes likes him then that is good enough for me.

We need something, someone, anyone just to stand out and do something for us, we are relying too much on bentley

And Roque as well sas. Bentley has been player of the year so far though.

Yeah Im worried by the lack of goalscoring support for Roque and Bents at the moment. This guy is highly thought of so perhaps a deal will be brockered.

Not sure about him if Hughes thinks so then i agree. Sounds like very pacey and can dribble past his man hopefully that is what we need, could be good but will he get a chance!!!

do we really need another striker? ok if he is good it cant hurt to have him on board but does this spell the end for JR? we badly need a right back, emo is just not up to it long term and a midfield player-mokoena is not good enough, savage might be on his way out, tugay cant play every game, reid has played a few games before being injured again, dunny has gone off the boil, gamst is officially a shadow, treacy and peter cant get a proper look in and bents is the only one playin but how long will we have him if we continue the way we are going? please sparky address the more pressing issues!

I think we are missing pace. For some reason J Rob doesnt get enough chances when he is fit so maybe we need an injection from someone else.

True Mikey, we need more pace in the ranks. I also agree with durks assessment of current situation. Too many players have disappeared in recent weeks. We need that right-back in to embed and tighten up the defence. Midfielder should also arrive. However, it sounds like Lance Davids could be brought in for both positions. During his second trial he was tried out at right-back!
