Rovers Man of the Match v Chelsea

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll asked, "Rovers Man of the Match v Chelsea?" We voted Zurab Khizanishvili.

In a VERY rare appearance, let alone start for Khizanishvili this season he managed to put in a superb performance and rightfully picked up the Man of the Match award with 44%. The Monk finished ahead of David Bentley on 29% in second place.

The rest were much the same as each other, although Roque Santa Cruz (17%) did stand out from the rest.

Well done to the Monk, I think he MORE than deserved that as he was superb in that match, even more so when you think of how few games he has played before stepping in.

I'm pleased he won this accolade as I feel he is a very good defender, better than Ooijer. Alas, I think we will all agree he is not a very good right back and that is becoming a problem position!
