Sparky Targets Three Points At Wigan

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is targeting yet another Rovers win at the JJB Stadium this Saturday.

Rovers are looking to react to the defeat against West Ham United at Ewood Park last Sunday, but this Saturday Rovers will be looking to make it a hat trick of victories at Wigan Athletic's JJB Stadium, having won the last two encounters there by a scoreline of 3-0. More importantly though Hughes stressed the importance of bouncing back from defeat, as Rovers had before after the defeat to Aston Villa.

Hughes told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "We've had a decent run on our travels there, so we are looking to get a positive result.

"It is important that we bounce back from the disappointment of West Ham - we were able to do it against Newcastle after the disappointment of Villa, so it is important to do it again at Wigan
."

It would be nice if we could make it a hat trick of 3-0 wins, but we would take ANY win really wouldn't we and it is a win that REALLY is needed.

Its one of those games were we really must win. We cant afford to drop any more points

im gettin a bit sick of all this 'weve got to bounce back' talk if we didnt lose that wouldnt be neccessary (not saying we will win every game but it just seems to me we have heard this phrase used a lot lately!) ps we have bents back for the weekend so there is some good news

And I Think You'll Get Them...! All Three Points...

It's got to be all three points hasn't it, anything less would be UNACCEPTABLE!

We need to win if we are to lift oursleves away from mid-table mediocrity. We showed class earlier in the season but where has it all gone?

I'm off to the game. The missis' dad is a Wigan fan, and it's a time for bonding. I have been told I can't wear my Rovers shirt/scarf, or cheer when/if we score (the missis' dad is hoping it's if we score, I'm confident it's when we score.). We should win, and win comfortably, I think.

I'm slightly concerned by how many teams are looking good around eufa spots this year... city, villa, everton, pompey and now west ham are starting to look good. Oh well, at least the bottom 7 or so teams are all looking fairly terrible this season (sorry wigan but it's true)

Decimus Poole - Dude its got to be WHEN we score surely hasn't it, if we can't score against Wigan then we are in touble!
Hughes Da Man
Bents4eng - Yeah I know what you mean, A LOT of teams are starting to look VERY good, as roversman says the quality that we were showing seems to have deserted us, but everyone has a bad patch dont they, hopefully our usual early season poor start has just transfered into a minor late-mid season then the usally end of season form will see us through!
