Rovers Preparing To Join Anelka Race

There has been plenty of talk surrounding Nicolas Anelka for many months now, but newspaper speculation on Sunday is suggesting that Blackburn Rovers are preparing to enter the race?!?!

The Sunday tabloids say that Bolton Wanderers are prepared to let Anelka leave the Reebok Stadium (despite only signing a new contract in August) and Rovers manager Mark Hughes is interested in entering the bidding to try and bring him to Ewood Park (as he had when he signed for Bolton in the first place) and is prepared to rival Manchester United and Chelsea, however, you would expect these two clubs to be preferred by Anelka if he does leave?

More worryingly these allegations also say that Rovers will have to sell players in order to make any approach anyway!!!

Not so sure about this, but you never know?!?!
I wouldn't want Rovers to sell players in order to sign Anelka, no matter how good he is.

Another striker? Is this a joke? We need 2 CM + DR ASAP. In attack we have plenty of options (even Rigters).

I think the tabloids are being mischievous :-)

I think he is a good player, but i dont like his attitude, i really would not want him at rovers

I would be very surprised to see him sign for rovers. On the evidence of yesterday's gam we need creative midfield. We were horribly abject!

merlin - Probably right dude, with the aid of some mischievous agents as well!
I would happily see Anelka at Rovers, but as you dudes have pointed out other areas are more in need of looking at.
Hughes Da Man
I think that Anelka wants a move away from the reebok and his agent is putting this out there to get some clubs to put in a bid... bloody agents!
