Rovers star is Actim Top Scorer

Here's the latest press release from the Actim Index (below), which was sent to me.

Deadly David: Rovers star is Actim Top Scorer

Blackburn Rovers' David Bentley continued to stake his England credentials with the highest score of the week in the Actim Index, the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premier League.

The midfielder earned himself 53 points in total, with a season high 43 of those coming in Rovers' 3-1 win against Newcastle.

The remarkable return saw the ex-Arsenal ace climb 17 places into 12th, his overall score rising to 238 points, making him Blackburn's highest ranked player so far this season.

Tugay Kerimoglu also performed well scoring Rovers' third at Ewood Park on Saturday receiving 31 points for his efforts.

Analysis of all Premier League games is taking place throughout the season and the players in the Actim Index Team of the Week are:

Scott Carson, Aston Villa
Sami Hyypia, Liverpool
Martin Laursen, Aston Villa
Zat Knight, Aston Villa
Paul McShane, Sunderland
David Bentley, Blackburn Rovers
Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United
Steven Gerrard, Liverpool
Sebastian Larsson, Birmingham City
Ashley Young, Aston Villa
John Carew, Aston Villa

The Actim Index is calculated using a unique mathematical formula that rates each player's contribution be it goals, shots, passes, dribbles, tackles, crosses, saves, clearances, blocks, interceptions, assists, clean sheets, time on the pitch or number of points gained by the team with marks deducted for red and yellow cards.

Bentley for England!!!
Hughes Da Man
Oh it has to be now!!! Beckham hasnt the level of football at the min to keep his fittness up, although he is still a great sub to have!! But its a straight choice between - Wright-philips and Bentley for the rite for England in my reckoning - Shaun for the speed and Bentley for the crossing depends who they are up against and who is better suited. I do think Bentley has the better pass and cross and scores more goals, Wright-philips lets himself down on this a lot of the time

We know it - but will the new manager think so?
FreidelNo.1
whoever the new man will be, all Bents can do is keep playing like he is now and he'll be in the team, no matter who is in charge!! They cant fail to notice the talent the lad has.
Clint
I think that the new manager WILL know it, Bents is all that and more so if he keeps playing like he is his place in the England squad will be cemented, next stop this place in the team.
