Nolan Out On Loan To Hartlepool

Blackburn Rovers defender Eddie Nolan has gone out on a month's loan to Hartlepool United.

There are VERY high hopes for Nolan at Ewood Park despite him having made only one senior appearance (his substitute showing for Rovers in the UEFA Cup last season) and it is hoped that the Republic of Ireland Under-21 International can make a serious breakthrough within the next year or so. Having spent some time at Stockport County last season he has now signed for Danny Wilson's League One side, a signing that Wilson is very happy about.

Wilson told the Official Hartlepool United Website: "He's an up-and-coming player who is very promising for his age.

"I am delighted that Blackburn have allowed him to come here and I would like to thank Mark Hughes and Glyn Hodges for their help in this.

"Hopefully he'll be a good acquisition for us because he's a quality player and someone I am very much looking forward to working with.

"I'm hoping his spell with us will be beneficial to the club and also help Eddie progress
."

This loan move is a loan move that I do feel is more than worth it, and will benefit Rovers, Hartlepool, and most importantly Nolan himself.

Nolan is one of the players that I've had high hopes for a couple of years now. I had hoped that his breakthrough might come this season (which it still might) but DO expect this sometime next season at the latest.

This is extremely beneficial for all 3 parties and wise for eddie's development. Great stuff.

Yeah a good move for Eddie as Hartlepool are a decent side. Let's hope that he impresses.

I am sure he will. Another one to keep track of... I hear Frank Fielding is doing well at Wycombe.
MikeyGamst
Yeah I've also heard that dude, I really do hope that Fielding can come through to be as good as Bradders thinks he can as he speaks VERY highly of him doesn't he.
Hughes Da Man
Bradders does give him glowing reviews... Fieleing saved ANOTHER penalty yesterday.

This is either very good for Nolan, getting him ready to have a few games for Rovers after Xmas in the Cup or that or, as I fear, the end of him! I would hate to see it as, being from NI myself im a wee bit biased, but he's a good home grown talent!! Clubs like Blackburn I have always said need to produce players like this, cos we cant compete for players with the Top 4 or indeed clubs like Spurs, Newcastle (MONEYWISE) etc. Even West Ham to a certain extend but they buy over-priced average guff!!!
