Robbie's Back!!!!

Robbie's Back!!!!

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage is closing in on a return from a spell on the sidelines.

Savage suffered a knee injury during October's 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur and underwent surgery in order to rectify the problem.

After six weeks out, the 33-year-old resumed training on Friday and could feature in Sunday's trip to Fulham.

'Robbie trained for the first time on Friday and was full of it afterwards,' Rovers chairman John Williams is quoted as saying in the Daily Star.

'He should be in contention for a place against Fulham.'

I for one wish him a speedy recovery, so that he can come back and pick up another even worse injury.

But if you add up the "combined months of injuries" he has caused players over the years, he got of kinda easy with only six weeks.

Sav has made a remarkable recovery, although most players do these days with the advanced technology that is used. It will be VERY interesting to see what Sparky does though, will Sav come straight back in, or will he have to take a place on the bench?!?!

I think he could go straight back in but that would perhaps be a bit harsh on the Axe.
