'If It's Football, It's Vital'

3-Years (Or More) Of Hughes Yet!

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll, suggested by MikeyGamst asked "When will Sparky Leave??? (Heaven Forbid)" We feel not for a while yet!

Rovers manager Mark Hughes is constantly linked with various jobs (and will almost certainly take over Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson goes) but he also constantly says that although he will one day go, he still has unfinished business with Rovers, so it won't be anytime soon. In fact he will be signing a new contract to say with the club any moment now.

44% believe that it will be at least 3-years or more before Sparky does move on, closely followed with 38% others think that it will be in 2-years time. The final 18% think that Sparky could walk away at the end of the season, which is HIGHLY unlikely.

So in summary
End of the Season - 18%
2 Years Time - 38%
3 Years Or More - 44%

Steven Reid had a close run in again with injury recently, but thankfully he seems OK. The current poll, suggested by Hughes Da Man is asking, " When will Steven Reid make his Rovers return?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings.

I would agree with this poll that we have another 3-years at least until Sir Alex calls it a day, this (and only this!!!) will be when Sparky moves on, and to Manure.
Hughes Da Man
Lets hope Sir Alex retires at the age of 100... nothing like a century is there sir????
MikeyGamst
In all honesty though I believe he will be here until at least 2010.
MikeyGamst
its ok lads, i plan to have my accreditation by then, il come over and coach blackburn lol
sasman
Well sasman, I'm sure you'd be better than Brian Kidd!
FreidelNo.1
Im better than Brian Kidd... as is BomBom....
MikeyGamst
Most are better than Brian Kidd!!!
Agree Mikey, Sparky WILL be at Ewood Park until at least 2010, but I'm not sure we will see him after this though?
Hughes Da Man
prob after his new contract has expired i imagine.
MikeyGamst
I would'nt be as optimistic as some of the lads above. A lot of people seem to be assuming that Sparky's next job will be at United when Fergi steps down, but there are plenty of other top clubs that could acquire his services between now and then. For example if Chelsea don't win anything this year & Grant gets the bullet you can be sure that Sparky's name will be high on their shortlist. And who's to say he would'nt turn down a move to a big European club like Munich if they came calling. I hope I'm wrong!
spinaker7081
I hope (and think) you are wrong spinaker. Chelsea will be looking to play fantasy football where as Hughes prefers a strong commited type of play. He wont do all this work to build up a strong squad to then abandon it when its going as well as it ever has.
MikeyGamst
Maybe we shouldn't imagine where he's going in the future, and just enjoy it while he's here!
FreidelNo.1
thats a good point FN1... just the inevitable will happen one day but the longer he stays here the longer the smile will be on my face.
MikeyGamst
FN1 - Touche dude!
Hughes Da Man
It just goes to show what can be achieved if you give a manager enough time.
DeanoVilla
Touche Deano (sorry HDM)... there are far too many clubs looking for the quick fix. Give the right manager time and he will come good.
MikeyGamst
you'll be fine for a while yet I think........
ernshaw
racking up those posts ernshaw lol!!!!
MikeyGamst
MikeyGamst - Au contraire dude, I feel honoured that you used my "touche" saying, it was most fitting for the time lol!
