Goal of the Month (October)

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you, "What was October's top Goal?" A winner has been found.

Each month, you the Vital Blackburn members are given the chance to vote for what you thought was the goal of the month.

The votes have been cast and after being given the option of all twelve of Rovers' goals for October we voted in favour of Tugay, 40% deciding his strike on Saturday 20th against Reading at Ewood Park in the Premier League was the best. So he just edges out Christopher Samba (32%).

So in summary
M Derbyshire v Larissa (UEFA Cup) - 2%
S Warnock v Larissa (UEFA Cup) - 12%
D Bentley v Birmingham - 4%
B McCarthy (pen) v Birmingham - 2%
B McCarthy v Reading - 2%
R Santa Cruz v Reading - 0%
Tugay v Reading - 40%
B McCarthy (pen) v Reading - 0%
B McCarthy v Tottenham - 2%
C Samba v Tottenham - 32%
B McCarthy v Portsmouth (Carling Cup) - 2%
M G Pedersen v Portsmouth (Carling Cup) - 2%

Roves succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, but which Rover stood out? The current poll, suggested by The Rovers Players is asking Rovers Man of the Match v Manchester United? Have your say by not only voting but voicing your opinion also.

Do you agree with the winning strike or not? Why not have your say below.

Tugay's goal was a quality strike, but I still think that Marcus Hahnemann probably could've done better so in that respect I think Christopher Samba deserved it more for his superb goal against Spurs, the importance (and lateness) of the goal was also something else.

can't argue with that result - classic goal!

Great goal but suprised Bentley ( or Betnley as e is now called) v Brum didnt get more of a look in. Great strike.

sasman - Yeah dude, it was a superb goal from Stevie W wasn't it, deserved more than 12%?!?!
Hughes Da Man
MikeyGamst - And as you say dude SURELY Bents (or Betnley) deserved MORE than just 4%!!!

Definatley Tugay's goal, wont see many better than that all season.

Every goal Tugay scores is clas - he don't score tap-ins!

has he scored one inside the area before?? can anyone remember???
MikeyGamst
I'm pretty sure I have seen him score from inside the area (not counting a penalty) but this wasn't for Rovers, I'm sure I saw him score for Turkey once from inside the box!
Hughes Da Man
its a rare spot that HDM... although very vague!!!! lol
MikeyGamst
did he scare against Portsmouth in the area, about three seasons ago? I think we lost 2-1
