Savage Still Worried By Old Injury

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage may have returned to the side (after his broken leg in January) but he has admitted his concern that the injury is still troubling him slightly.

The challenge, which actually broke his leg was an awful one (had it been Savage making this challenge he would have never lived it down!!!) but after six-months out he returned over the summer. However, he has already been forced off in three matches for Rovers this season after taking knocks to his leg, something that is concerning him.

Savage told the Sunday Mirror: "I had to go off last weekend because I got another whack on the shin. It's happening a lot."

Sav hasn't been the same this season on the whole has he, so the fact that he has to come off so often is a definite cause for concern, but hopefully it will not be anything more than just a minor concern? However, it is will be FAR better to have a fully fit Sav, than a half hearted one. He is not the player we know he is if he can't give 100%.

Only time will tell what the outcome will be here, but hopefully it is nothing to worry about.

This was something that I was concerned about following his injury. I anticipated that it could have an adverse affect becasue his game is all about energy, and getting in peoples faces but he hasn't seemed quite the same since.

Hopefully he will be back to his very best soon?!?!

I see that Sav has been blasting John Toshack again hasn't he!
As much as we love Sav, I do wish he would shut it sometimes as he is basically just continuing an argument that he should let go (obviously he is a patriotic Welshman but it's maybe getting too much now?)
However, it could be the media stirring things up, but re-iterating something that he said in the past?!?!
