Rovers Watching French Youngster?!?!
Most Blackburn Rovers fans acknowledge that someone extra in midfield is needed (and younger legs at that!) and if newspaper talk is right Rovers are looking at French youngster Sofiane Feghouli.
Previously Rovers had been linked with a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone, but with Tottenham unlikely to sell the former England Under-21 International manager Mark Hughes will look elsewhere, with the suggestion being that Grenoble midfielder Feghouli is on the wanted list? He has only made a handful of first-team appearance for the French club but has played for France at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels.
The 17-year-old was linked with Ajax, Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, AC Milan and Valencia over the summer, but it is understood that his style of play is more suited to the Premier League, which is where he wants to be, so maybe in January Rovers will look to move for the youngster? However, they would probably face competition from Chelsea, and most likely Liverpool, who were VERY strongly linked with him in the summer.
