Yes Proof The Worlds Gone Mad!!!

Yes Proof The Worlds Gone Mad!!!

If we needed any further proof that the World really has gone mad we have got it here after an airline pilot was sacked for letting Blackburn Rovers midfielder Robbie Savage onto the flight deck.

Anti-terrorism rules prohibit pilots from allowing members of the public near the controls, but as Pablo Mason (the pilot) allowed Savage to do so (on the Rovers private charter coming back from Finland after a UEFA Cup Qualifying match) in order to help ease Sav's fear of flying he was sacked!!!

Mason told the BBC: "Yes I broke a rule. I did interpret the rule wasn't quite as strict for a private charter, which this was. Everyone on board knew each other.

"I think above all his anxiety about flying has been relaxed in some way.

"He knows a little more about how and why a modern airline gets into the sky and I think he sees the captain as being someone to trust and place his trust in
."

Mason, a former Gulf War RAF pilot (Capt. Mason, who carried out 23 bombing missions over Iraq during the first Gulf War) also runs a fear of flying course for passengers (such as Sav) who have a fear of flying is to appeal the decision, and Rovers have said they will back him, with them having already sent a letter to Mytravel (the private charter company).

A spokesman for Rovers said: "The club and Robbie Savage sent a letter at the time to the airline authorities explaining our version of events."

Whereas as a Mytravel spokesman said: "We have a zero tolerance policy towards any actions which could endanger the safety of our passengers and employees."

What is the world coming to, this is absolutely preposterous! On a private charter flight only people know to Sav would have been on the plane anyway, it's not as if he was going to cause any harm or touch anything he shouldn't have would he!!!
We are almost at a point now were you are at fear of saying or doing anything nowadays, even if it is to help out someone else!!!
I trust Rovers will not be using Mytravel again?!?! Personally I would hope they didn't after something so ridiculous.

I know this may sound like an old cliche, but if HALF the time and effort went into catching "real" criminals and people that are doing real danger to the world and others as is for pretty, stupid little things like this we'd ALL be MUCH better off!!!

catching real cims can be dangerous, far easier option to ruin the life of somebody trying to do a good turn for a fellow human being. Sickening, the world is full of these *****wits now, actually thats wrong its not the world its just Britain, time to emigrate i think, if you can.

I think Rovers should help him out as a good will gesture. We as a club haven't done anything wrong but it would be a nice gesture. He put himself out for us so we should reciprocate. Did make me laugh when I read this story though. I'm now so tired of ranting about the state of this world in my paper I just laugh at these things!

All it was was a man that was scared of flying and the pilot tried to help... absolute madness.
