Bentley Makes England Squad Again...

Great news everyone to start to make up for the dissapointment of last night... Dave Bentley is in the England squad again. And let me be the first to say he thoroughly deserves it.

Great performances against Birmingham and Sunderland followed by a man of the match performance last night have again given England boss Steve McClaren no option but to name 'Boo-Boy' David Bentley in his new squad....

the full squad is as follows.

England squad: Robinson (Tottenham), James (Portsmouth), Carson (Aston Villa), Richards (Manchester City), Brown (Manchester United), Ferdinand (Manchester United), Terry (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Campbell (Portsmouth), Neville (Everton), Shorey (Reading), Lescott (Everton), Bentley (Blackburn), Gerrard (Liverpool), Lampard (Chelsea), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Barry (Aston Villa), Downing (Middlesbrough), Young (Aston Villa), Smith (Newcastle), Owen (Newcastle), Crouch (Liverpool), Johnson (Everton), Defoe (Tottenham), Rooney (Manchester United), Ashton (West Ham).

preferred starting line-up? Make make for good debate..... Mine is>>> GK: Carson. BACK 4: Richards, Terry, Rio, Lescott. MIDDLE: Bentley (not biased! Although I'd be happy with Wright-Philips too), Gerrard, Barry, Joe Cole. UP FRONT: Rooney, Johnson. Let the handbags begin..

I can't back Owen as he's just had a surgery.. Still can't understand why we rely so intensely on one man.. I can't accept that English football is in such a poor state that we need to do this.
