Mokoena Top Rovers Midfielder

Mokoena Top Rovers Midfielder

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked, "Midfielder of the Month for September?" We voted in favour of Aaron Mokoena.

I don't think that too many people would have thought this when September started, but after he came in Mokoena has been superb, so his 52% sees him crowned the Midfielder of the Month for September.

David Bentley's 30% sees him finish as runner up to the Axe, and as such he also advances to the overall Player of the Month poll, taking place soon.

David Dunn (15%), Robbie Savage (3%), Morten Gamst Pedersen (0%) and Tugay (0%) completed the poll.

So in summary
David Bentley - 30%
David Dunn - 15%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 0%
Aaron Mokoena - 52%
Robbie Savage - 3%
Tugay - 0%

As the search for Septembers's Player of the Month continues, the positional votes conclude with the current poll asking, "Forward of the Month for September?." Who will join David Bentley, Brad Friedel, Aaron Mokoena Christopher Samba? You decide.

PLEASE NOTE: The positional votes are going to be quick fire 24-hour ones so get your votes in quick!

The Axe came in last season to prove his worth, when he came in again in September he proved his worth once again. The right men advanced, in my opinion anyway.

A mediocre CM- can't pass the ball well. Maybe in Israel we have players who can't pass the ball and create chances, but in England???

israeli - who the Axe??? he aint there for his creativity for sure but he is an underrated passer. His defensive midfielder qualities are not in question. He is now an excellent central midfielder.

Mikey- I watch him vai the net week in week out (when he plays)- in the EPL you must have 2 CM who can pass the ball well and create chances. Since the season started we rely on a 37 year old player too much. Mokoena does know how to break the attack, but can't help us while attacking, probably since he used to play as CD throughout his career..The reason for us having a good season so far (more or less) is for using the few chances we had, and relying on Samba's brilliant form...

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
